Margot Robbie is the most beautiful woman in the world. Jacob Elordi is perhaps the best looking of leading men. The story needs no recommendation, what with almost 200 years of success behind it. There is cruelty, toughness, revenge, madness and passion in this tragedy. Backed by excellent locales and wonderful camerawork, and propped by very clickable lead pair, the film works well for those who have read the novel. For those who have not, I am not so sure. The director has tried to give a modern touch by some introducing some chic moments in the film which pass by like fleeting frivolity. Margot must be a contender come the award season, let's wait and watch.
