It is a wonder that such bad films do enough for the makers to keep investing and getting enough return through it to live another day. If such a script was shown to be, or I saw the final cut before release, I would not even let it be made or released. But the fact that such films get made, they get a homebred hero to work, dad is the director, so everything works out in the end. Do not even ask about the script or dialogues. They are beyond cringe. So low in quality that the bar sinks below the drain-bed.
Varun Dhawan is not an actor; he is a joker. Apparently, he has a huge fan following among kids! Hence, his exaggerated mannerisms and juvenile antics can be forgiven. Mrunal Thakur is damn lovely and has a good diction in every language she speaks. Pooja Hegde has no presence and no delivery. She is just a good bod with a decent face and a nice smile. Jimmy Sheirgill, Maniesh Paul, Chunky Pandey, Rakesh Bedi, Manoj Pahwa, Johny Lever and others have impact-less cameos. There is simply no fizz in the film. It must work because people are vella and devoid of taste. If this film manages to cross Rs 70 crore business, Dhurandhar should have raked in 7000 crores.
