It was very easy to fuck this up. Godmen are highly controversial and temptation to serve sleaze and slander them must be very strong. Asaram and RAM Rahim have captured global imagination and sullied the name of dharma. Prakash Jha begins with the right intent, assembles a great cast and delivers a very professional and restrained product. He never goes overboard with wild conspiracies and blatant violence. It is all there but in a slightly concealed manner. This is the triumph of Prakash Jha. Full marks for casting Bobby Deol as Baba Nirala of Kashipur, and Chandan Roy Sanyal as his assistant, Bhopa. Darshan Kumar, Aaditi Pohankar and Tridha Chaudhuri have also done well. Looking forward to further seasons!
