A freelance translator finds accommodation in a village. Her house needs a lot of repairs but the houseowner is aggressively hostile. Neighbours are nosey as rural folk are wont to be. In lieu of repairs, she lets a mountain of a man have sex with her. She develops feelings for him, which he seems incapable of reciprocating. Day by day, her life in the village becomes more difficult. She finally loses it and flees.
