THE SINGERS 2026
Sundry men gathered in a pub are discussing the miseries of life. They are bored with the talk and fed up with the tedium. The bartender realizes that something must be done to upend general mood. He offers 100 USD and free beer to the best singer of the night. A sick, old man begins crooning, others join in. Many gather courage and take lead. Connections are formed, the evening is made. You need to do this now and then.
This short live action film is based on Ivan Turgenev's short story. Although it has gathered wide acclaim, I don't really see the point of this effort.
