This one is not about the news but about news networks, especially the news-floor and newsreaders. The CEO remains 'upstairs' during the first season. The head of the newsroom is a casually bigoted bulldog. The senior newsreader, about to touch sixty, takes himself too seriously. He has given 30 years to the network and wants to continue till he is 75 but feels he is being pushed. Behind the scenes, his wife keeps firing his ambition. Anna Torv plays Helen Norville, the first female newsreader in a ratings-dominated News at Six. Along with Del Jennings (played by Sam Reid) she forms a formidable partnership referred as 'the Golden Couple' in news circles. Del has doubts about his sexuality but everything gets taken care of. This is a very watchable six-part webseries. Go for it!
