Anil Kapoor is in damn good form in Subedaar, but the choice of Aditya Rawal, Paresh Rawal's and Swaroop Sampat's son as the main antagonist sinks the film. Rawal does not have the screen presence, overdoes his villainy and is found wanting in whatever he does. Rest of the cast, be it Radhika Madan, Saurabh Shukla, Faisal Malik and Mona Singh, do their bit, but the film refuses to soar because of one bad casting. The film does have a western feel, music and action sequences hold up, but all of it does not make sense because of poor scripting.
Sorry to such a restrained performance by Anil Kapoor go waste.
