Mammootty plays a cop who moonshines as a serial killer. His modus operandi is the same as that of Mohan Kumar Vivekananda, also known as Cyanide Mohan, the infamous serial killer who operated between 2005-09. Mohan was a primary school teacher. Vijay Varma had played a character closer to Mohan in a recent webseries titled Dahaad.
The lead investigator who sets out to nab the killer is played by Vinayakan.
The film is a slow burn and spends itself with its length. There is no suspense to grip the viewer. But one dare not move for Mammootty is in top form. Watching him chew a cigarette while strangling a man is so powerful! He makes small talk with women just as naturally. What a player!
