You can talk on and on about Nithari. Scratch your scalp, pull your hair, blame the police, allege class as the reason for official neglect. You can spread panic by mentioning cannibalism, necrophilia, organ-farming or white-haired woman in dreams. The fact remains that as of today, both MS Pandher and SS Koli have been set free. Investigation failed to prove its case and courts had no choice but to let them go. There is no point in talking about police procedural, evidence collection and cops' sensitivity.
The KK is a sensitive, non-dramatic sort of documentary, that explores lanes and by-lanes around D5, Sector 31, Noida. When complaints were lodged in 2005, some sort of barricading and patrolling was done, but discontinued after some time. A lot of water has flown in the case since the documentary got released, but I quite like its sane, sober portrayal of the tragedy and the case.
