A five-year-old girl lives with her half-sister and mother in quite some penury by Taipei standards. The single mother runs a noodles counter but finds it difficult to make ends meet. The film takes up a lot of Taiwanese customs and believes and questions them- labelling of left-hand as devil's hand, preference of son over daughters etc. The film is high on empathy quotient and works as a leisurely watch. It was shot over iphone. That said, there is no way their girl character has only five-year maturity. The role demands a girl who is at least 7 years old.
