If you watch the film for what it is and do not burden your viewing with politics and its morality, ADO, Pakula's last, is a very watchable film. Brad Pitt, lampooned for his Irish accent, does a fine role and looks very photogenic. He fits into the role of an IRA revolutionary with a sad and dangerous past. His bonding with Harrison Ford who plays an American cop with perfect morals is what holds the film firm. The film just delves into the Irish question but refuses to jump headlong into it. It just takes the moral position that violence gotta stop. Period. I liked the performances in the film as well as its flow. It might not be a classic, but it is certainly a good watch.
