I have not seen a more thanda film this year than Maalik. Why would Rajkummar sign such a film? I do not blame Pulkit (Who?) for this debacle. The lead actor should have read the riot act and done something with this film. The story is the usual one that has been told a thousand times. RK does not have the force enough to carry himself like a dreaded gangster. The story doesn't quite establish why should he be feared. Anshuman Pushkar also looks like a good boy. Manushi Chiller has no screen presence. She was miscasting as Sanyogita and she is miscasting as a don's wife. Rajendra Gupta gets some moments, as do Swanand Kirkire and Saurabh Shukla. Prasenjit is damn well wasted here. This is a film that has nothing going for it. Frankly I would refuse to rate it at all.
