Not only can you skip Hostage with abandon, but the world was not ready for such kind of limpid idiocy. So, UK and France are both led by women who are meeting for a summit to solve testy issues like immigration and supply of critical drugs. Then begins a coup attempt takes many shapes but UK Police are so clueless that they fail to save the French President. A small bunch of RW cut-throats, angry with defense budget cuts, wreak havoc upon the country and PM's own family. Her father is killed, husband kidnapped, daughter nabbed, house bombed and guest, that is the French President, played by Julie Delphy, murdered. This is such lame pulp that I won't recommend to anyone. Suranne Jones has done a decent job as the UKPM.
