Nawazuddin Siddique plays a detective in search of himself. This is Nawaz post-Kahani and GoW, and is scarcely believe in kind of experimental, low-profile, everyman's role. There are no powerful dialogues, nor any tricky situations in this film. The detective sleepwalks through his boring work and personal life, shares Old Monk with his dog and maintains a constant struggle with his conscience. Nawaz is not disappointing, but the pace of the film is. Buddhadeb's direction seems a tad too dated for 2013. Pankaj Tripathi is in a cameo but doesn't have much to do.
