Liam Neeson plays a transporter's bodyguard and trouble-shooter who used to box in his prime and still packed a punch. He is gruff, laconic and increasingly forgetful. CTE might take away his faculties in a couple of years. HE had walked out on his family long back, but feels lonely now that there is not much to do. 

 

Absolution is the story of how he adjusts to his reality and makes preparations for the final goodbye. This is a slow burn, but Neeson's acting makes it worth the trouble. There is not much else except the good ol' Liam.
