Honest cop Parambrata Chatterjee sets out to break the nexus between crime and politics in Kolkata but is killed by intermediate-level goons played by Ritwik Bhowmik and Aadil Zafar Khan, who are right and left testicles of Bagha da, played by Saswata Chatterjee.
Jeet enters the scene, Bagha is killed and Aadil and Ritwik have a falling out. Prasenjit Chatterjee is the godfather of all crime in the metropolis and runs the ruling party as well, Chitrangada Singh plays the Leader of the Opposition who wants to herald change in Bengal.
You cannot go much wrong with such stellar cast. But there is nothing new in what is shown. There is not much scope to expand the horizons in crime and politics either. Haven't we seen them all and at their most depraved as well? The series is a good watch, but that's it! A word of appreciation for Aakanksha Singh who plays a SIT officer.
