This is a spy thriller loosely based upon a 1915 novel. 

The film now appears quite dated as far as photography and pace are concerned, but writing seems just as crispy. There is not much to recommend the film unless you are a student of cinema. It is a cult classic, but can be given a go by if pure entertainment is what you are after.
