Gene Hackman is a master, but Will Smith holds his own while working with him. Jon Voight has few scenes, but leaves his mark. That is the endearing thing about Hollywood- you know your favourite actors won't disappoint you. This film is much ahead of its time in that it exposes NSA attempts at snooping and  gathering electronic information on the citizens. These fears have gradually turned out to be true. Action is filmed well, pace is breezy, the film works, to say the least.
