Song Kang-ho is a great actor. He plays the eponymous broker who picks up babies left behind in baby boxes and sells them to couples craving to possess children. Song was awarded the Best Actor Award at the Cannes for this performance.
The film is about an unwanted young mother who leaves behind an unfortunate toddler in a baby box. Song and his friend pick up this kid and attempt to sell it off, later in cahoots with the mother, who it turns out is a prostitute and has also murdered the kid's father. Cops are on their trail. The kid is ultimately 'saved'. The film might have run of the mill storyline, but the director's deft touches and Song's performance lifts it to another level. I watched it in Hindi on Sony Liv. Dubbing artists have really upped their game. Watch the film for Song Kang-ho.
