Keanu Reeves plays an innocent war-returnee, and a man possessing delicate soul. He returns to a woman disinterested in him, but runs into a girl who might be her soulmate. Her father, played by Giancarlo Gianini, makes life difficult, but ultimately falls in line. The film is too sweet to my liking, and is perhaps for those who have immense faith in life and love. 

PS- I generally find Keanu Reeves intolerable.
