Michael, James Gandolfini's son, plays a young Tony in the Newark neighborhood. Alessandro Nivola plays Richard Moltisanti, Tony's uncle.
Together they dish out an eminently watchable flick, against all odds and expectations. Most of the main characters make appearances. There is Ray Liotta in a double role, doing his best to live out of his Henry Hill skin.
David Chase must make a sequel to this prequel, budged be damned. This is one good standalone mafia film, even if one no longer cares for Sopranos and its old world charm.
