Dhanush tries hard to be Rajnikant, but fails.

Joju George is always in the game. 

Karthik Subbaraj wanted to make a universal film - on immigrants, Lankan Tamils, Indian apathy, white supremacists, human values, smuggling etc. But JT barely keeps afloat, thanks to some solidity provided by Joju.

JT has no soul. The film fails to take off.
