Who are the hunted ones?
Three cops- Two males, one female- Joju George , Kunchako Boban & Nimisha Sajayan.
Kerala Police's Crime branch is after them for accident-cum-slaughter of a Dalit youth, with whom the trio had a scuffle earlier in the day. Because of the scheduled bye-elections a day later, the situation gets complicated, and the CM wants them nabbed as soon as possible.
The trio decide to escape, and reach Munnar. Joju is distraught for ruining his daughter's chances of competing in the Youth Festival. Boban is a newbie in the force, who does not know how to get out of the trouble, and Nimisha has no idea what's going on.
The thriller unfolds slowly, but superb editing keeps the script tight. Lovely cinematography and outstanding performances by the trio, the CM and Yama Gilgamesh (the lady SP) make this an absolute delight.
Nayattu is a well-made film, and deserves an ovation. Nimisha, three cheers to you.
