Ramprasad, aka Naseer, pops off in the opening scene. Then arrive on the stage a gamut of actors as his relatives, and keep the drama rolling.
When you have Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak, Parambrata Chatterjee,Konkona, Ninad Kamath, Vinay Pathak, Brijendra Kala, Vikrant Massey and Rajendra Gupta in the mix, how can anything that is dished out be unpalatable. That said, the director needed so many characters because there was not much to say or do in this usual storyline.
An old man is dead, offsprings bicker. The widow realizes that no one cares. She mouths some wise words. Everyone pays heed, and proceeds home.
RKT is well directed, but there is not much material to keep the audience hooked, or leave any imprint.
