The Lives of a Bengal Lancer 1935
by

This film was nominated for the Best Picture and Director, but did not win either, although it was a raging box office success.
Gary Cooper is an officer of the Bengal Lancers, posted in the treacherous NW Frontier of India where tribal warlords ran amok. The film glorifies the imperialists, but has aged damn well.
