Laila Majnu - Beautiful but could have been Better

Tripti Dimri is a pretty, but more importantly has a very powerful screen presence. She challenges one to keep looking at her and get chided in the process. There is something imli about her persona. Avinash Tiwari is earnest and has done god job as Qais Bhatt or Majnu.

They have some chemistry together which could have been hotter. The film works till there is hope. Once their future slides down the valley, it becomes a drag. Cinematography is predictably beautiful but could have been shot better.

The film is presented by Imtiaz Ali, and bears his touch. The lead couple has a lot of potential, which thy of course showed later in Bulbbul. Laila Majnu is a not a disappointing watch.
