The problem with Small b is that his voice does not suit his persona, and certainly gives away when he tries to portray Dhirubhai Ambani onscreen. Sometimes he plays Vijay Dinanath Chauhan on screen, at other times he becomes a Gujju businessman. In a scene or two, i could even identify Lallan Singh from Yuva. In the meantime, Aishwarya keeps giggling, and Mithun Da keeps up his Dada of Free Press act.
Madhavan keeps his long face, Vidhya Balan is her sweetest self. SOngs are great, the story becomes muddled. It works well in the first half, but falters towards the end.
Guru could have been a triumph with better cast, and more audacity.
