Gunjan Saxena- The Kargil Girl (2020)

Jhanvi Kapoor is definitely not intolerable.
But this film belongs to Pankaj Tripathi. This actor is in his elements as Jhanvi's supportive dad. There is something very honest about his demeanour which just elevates every scene he is a part of to great heights.
Angad Bedi as her brother also gives a very restrained and effective performance.
Vineet Kumar as an MCP flight instructor has gone over the top but finishes the film well.
Gunjan Saxena is a good film. I dont know if Kirti Kulhari or Radhika Apte would have been better. But this film has shown IAF in negative light. One can understand there must have been some resistance to women entry in combat roles, but the director seems to have gone overboard with his depiction of hostility by IAF establishment and fellow trainees.
