Why is a good actor like Vineet Kumar wasting himself in webseries like Bard of Blood and Betaal? The Mukkabaaj deserves a lot better.Ahana Kumra and Suchitra Pillai provide hardly any support to Kumar in this dully, dark zombie horror series.
There is a semblance of plot- mention of Naxals, a tunnel, a temple, some greed and a Betaal image along with some devout villagers- but the story goes nowhere. Infact it cant even be comprehended if one does not listen to what the corrupt contractor reads to his daughter from a thick book in pitch dark!
This is second Red Chillies dud on Netflix(first being Bard of Blood). I would think thrice before watching the next one!
