What is so important or essential about acid that its sale
cannot be properly regulated ? Despite framing of guidelines, anyone above 18
can easily procure acid by mere display of i-card. Besides, norms are followed
more in breach.
Laxmi Agrawal , attacked by a jilted lover at the age of 16,
has fought a tough battle against Acid. Chhapaak is her story.
Meghna Gulzar has done justice to the subject. Acting by
Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey are first rate. The two females lawyers are
just so damn good . The chhapaak-scenes are quite shocking , and I am sure they
must be more gory in real life. I don’t know how and why man becomes so
overcome with hatred. Killing a person is totally different. Throwing acid on
someone’s face is worse even that rape and murder. The film ended up shaking my
core.
