93 DAYS - EBOLA HALTED IN TRACKS

93 DAYS (2016)

This is the story of how the doctors at First Consultant Hospital, Lagos (Nigeria) correctly diagnosed a Liberian-American as having Ebola symptoms , and then along with staff, fought to successfully contain the deadly viral haemorrhagic disease .

The film is based on real events that unfolded in 2014. This is a lesson in how pandemics can be stopped in their tracks by taking extreme precautions and some tough decision-making. Lagos had a population of 21 lakhs. Ebola would have wrecked havoc among the local population , as it had done in Liberia and Guinea.

93 Days features a cameo by Danny Glover, and is generally a very steady production. Watch it for the fear a viral disease generates, and how to tackle it.
