The story of two sisters, one a victim of trafficking and the
other who walks into the trap while looking for her sibling, is quite
predictable and boring. The film hops from a village to Mumbai, then to Hong
Kong and finally LA and back to Mumbai but brings nothing new to light and runs
on the same beaten track which has often been repeated in many films and
documentaries.
This is quite disappointing considering that Rajkumar Rao, Adil Hussain, Anupam Kher, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Vajpayee, Frieda Pinto and Richa Chadha have such meaty cameos. It is actually these bits that make the film watchable, otherwise there
is not much to follow. Mrunal Thakur and Ria Sisodia are good as sisters but not
do not sparkle.
A faceoff between Manoj Bhai and Rajkumar, another between
Richa and Manoj and two between Anupam
Kher and Adil Hussain are what must give the director some satisfaction. Else this is a wasted effort.
