If one loves desi gali-galauch, and can appreciate the lehza
in which mothers and sisters of any random bullshitter are invoked, this is the
film for him. But if u r a feminist, or a purist or a prig, please keep off from
this offering.
Manoj Bajpayee is a rasik. His dialogue delivery and latka-jhatkas
are theth desi. Even as Shahid Khan in Waseypur, he had managed to inject comic shades into the role of a ruthless
gangster. Here he is in top form as a small-time crook. Vijay Raaj is an
unappreciated gem of the industry, maybe more so than even Kay Kay Menon. If one
wants to learn how to incubate, curate and punctuate their gaali-delivering look no
further. These three actors have delivered a masterclass.
Anu Kapoor has surprisingly not disappointed in a cameo, but Anupam Kher, as he mostly always is intolerable. Aditi Sharma looks damn hot as
Bajpai’s love interest. The premise of this comedy caper is quite weak, and yet
it’s the bakaiti and the verbal filth
that make watching it a worthwhile
exercise.
